Gary Allan Neckers, 55, of East Main Street, Clymer, N.Y., died suddenly at his home on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013.
He was born on Nov. 29, 1957, in Camp Lejeune, N.C., a son of Barbara Maas Neckers of Corry, Pa., and the late Kenneth B. Neckers.
Gary was raised and educated in Clymer, N.Y., graduating from Clymer High School in 1975. Following graduation he went to work for Maplevale Farms Inc. in Clymer, N.Y., which has been a family-owned business since its inception. Gary was the current president and CEO of Maplevale Farms Inc., which is now located in Falconer, N.Y.

He served on the board of directors of the Chautauqua County Corvette Club. He also was a member and regional executive of the Misery Bay Region of SCCA, (Sports Car Club of America) Erie, Pa. Gary had received several awards from them over the years including Member of the Year and Driver of the Year. He enjoyed Corvettes, racing, basketball and spending time with his family. He especially loved watching and teaching his grandkids to play sports, and traveling on family vacations. Gary will always be remembered for his great sense of humor, and his gentle, kind and intelligent nature.
In addition to his mother, Gary is survived by his wife, Sandra A. Miller Neckers, whom he married on June 17, 1977, in Findley Lake, N.Y.; three children: Bruce Neckers and his wife Amy of Clymer, N.Y., Heather Kinal and her husband Murl of North East, Pa., and Shawn Miller and his wife Julia of French Creek, N.Y.; and three brothers: Doug Neckers and his wife Wendy of Corry, Pa., Andy Neckers of French Creek, Pa., and Bruce Randall and his wife Jacki of Richmond, Va. Gary is also survived by five grandchildren: Dustin and Alexys Neckers and James, Colt and Dalton Miller; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call at the Bracken Funeral Home, 315 N. Center St., Corry, Pa., on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and attend the funeral service there on Wednesday at 11 a.m. The Rev. John Zimmerman, of the First United Methodist Church, Corry, will officiate.
Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Corry, Pa.
