Southwestern Students To Mark Youth Art Month

LAKEWOOD?- March is National Youth Art Month and Southwestern art students are celebrating with an art show at the Lakewood Memorial Library.

The art show will encompass work from kindergarten through 12th grade students and is being organized by art teachers Amanda Laurin, Renee Mitchener, Mark Kirsch and Jenny Brown.

The work will be on display in the gallery of the Lakewood Memorial Library for the entire month of March. The public is welcome to attend the opening reception on March 5, from 5:30-7 p.m.

Artwork by Andrew Lewis, a Southwestern Central School student, is pictured above. It will be part of an art show at Lakewood Memorial Library during March to celebrate National Youth Art Month.

The Lakewood Memorial Library is located at 12 W. Summit St., Lakewood. They are open on 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
