ALDEN - The Jamestown Raiders went on a scoring binge in the Western New York Club Hockey League playoffs and breezed to a 9-2 victory on Sunday night.
Rick Hasselman got the first goal for Jamestown, thanks to assists by Justin Andriaccio and Collin Abbott, and then Bill Krywy scored on an unassisted goal for a 2-0 lead. Alden got one back to make it 2-1 after the opening period.
Abbott made it 3-1 with an unassisted goal on a shorthanded breakaway, but Alden got its final goal with four minutes left to make it 3-2.
Krywy stole a pass along the boards and make it 4-2 with a quick shot.
The third stanza belonged to Jamestown with five unanswered goals.
Dylan Ferrara scored in the opening minute from Justin Andriaccio and Abbott to extend the lead to 5-2. Abbott scored two more times to give him a hat trick, and Dylan Bergman and Ferrara added goals for the Raiders.
Assists went to Andriaccio with three, and Gib Stuart, Mitch Dorunda, Anthony Tomassi and Abbott with one apiece. Goalie Tom Fales got the win and with the victory allows Jamestown to sweep Alden in a best-of-three.
The Raiders face City Honors in the Western finals set for 7 p.m. next Tuesday at First Niagara Center. The teams have split two earlier games.
