Allen Park Women's Club will be celebrating their 71st Founders Day Banquet on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Marvin House.
Karen Johnson, historian, will read the History of the Club (founded during World War II to help in the war effort and keep in touch with servicemen from the Allen Park Area). Casey Cannon will sing and accompany herself on the piano. Sue Schifano is chairwoman assisted by Marsha Leonard, Becky Nystrom and Pat Steubing.
At the last meeting at the Sheldon House Brunch, the officers were installed by Chris Prinzi for the coming year.

President Virginia Chase conducted a short business meeting with reports given by Hillary Meyer and Laurie Moore on the upcoming Community Day tickets. Pat Steubing thanked the officers who were the committee for brunch.
The president recognized the following January birthdays: Dora Wedlock, Gladys Peterson, Hillary Meyer, Marie Lindahl, Betty Johnson, Audene Jarosz, Roberta Graham, Carm Bellitto and Sally Schwartz.
