Paul and Laurie Volpe of Jamestown, N.Y. announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan Elizabeth, to Eric James Herman, the son of Jack and Carolyn Herman of South Dayton, N.Y.
Miss Volpe is a graduate of Jamestown High School and Jamestown Community College and earned her bachelor's degree in economics and her master's degree in public administration and policy from the State University of New York at Albany. She is employed as a commercial loan officer with Northwest Savings Bank in Jamestown.
Her fiance is a graduate of Pine Valley Central School and earned his associate degree from Jamestown Community College. He is employed as a firefighter for the city of Jamestown.
