Lawrence W. Reed, 89, of Cincinnati for the past 10 years, and formerly of Wickliffe, Ohio, and Randolph, N.Y., died Feb. 11, 2013, in Cincinnati.
He was born March 13, 1923, in Great Valley, N.Y., the son of the late Frank and Adelaide (nee Fay) Reed.
He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He had been employed as a USPS mail carrier. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, bowling and photography.

He is survived by two sons: Brian Reed and Randy (Diana) Reed; two grandchildren: Michael and Allison Reed; two brothers: Howard (Angie) Reed and Kenneth Reed; many nieces and nephews; former wife, Majel Blowers.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Vernon (Evelyn) Reed; and two sisters: Helen (Ralph) Chapman and Marion (Lynn) Wood.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, in Chardon United Methodist Church, 515 North St., Chardon, Ohio. The Rev. H. Daniel Drew, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chesterland.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., today in the DeJohn Funeral Home & Crematory of Chardon, 126 South St., Chardon, Ohio.
