Ross Grange has recognized the 4-H Volunteer for several years. A written nomination for this person should be sent to the 4-H office by March 28. A grange committee chooses the award recipient from those nominated.
A Community Citizen Award is given each year. Anyone with ideas of a helpful person in the area who deserves recognition should call Betty Wakefield, lecturer, at 287-3363 before March 28.
Since its inception, the grange has promoted local education. As an ongoing project they have worked with Sinclairville, Ellington, Fluvanna and Falconer libraries. Representative of these libraries will share what they are doing and will receive a donation from the grange. This will be at the March 11 meeting.
Members will have a work meeting starting at 11 a.m. on Feb. 25 for community service projects. This will be followed by the business meeting.
During February and March, Ross Grange is having afternoon meetings. Snacks are at 2:30 p.m. with the meeting and program following at the Falcon's Nest Banquet Hall. Those interested are invited to attend.
