William Ernest Borgstrom

William Ernest Borgstrom, 65, of West Lake Road in Portland. N.Y., passed away after a lengthy illness, Wednesday morning, Feb. 13, 2013, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Jamestown, N.Y., on June 2, 1947, and was the son of the late Henry E. and Carol-dean Marlette Borgstrom. He was formerly of Dunkirk, N.Y., and then moved to Portland, N.Y., where he made his home for the last 16 years.

He was a retired electrician belonging for 45 years to IBEW Local 106 of Jamestown, N.Y. He loved gardening, fishing, bird watching, and especially spending time with his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Colleen Borgstrom, whom he married on July 14, 1991; two daughters: Patricia Murphy of Randolph, N.Y., and Megan Borgstrom of Port-land, N.Y. Also surviving are Shelia Mullowney of Middletown, R.I., and Isaac Borgstrom of Rochester, N.Y.; a sister, Elizabeth To-fil of Dunkirk, N.Y.; and one nephew, Christopher Tofil of Dunkirk, N.Y.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his good friend, Thomas El-liott.

A celebration of his life will be held and announced at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials in his memory are kindly suggested to be made to the Portland Fire Department, c/o Jerry Boltz 8831 Onthank Road, Portland, N.Y. 14769; or Ros-well Park Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 631, Buffalo, NY 14240.
