Niagara County Rolls To Win Over Jayhawks

SANBORN- Jamestown Community College (12-14 overall, 3-8 Region 3 Division II) fell behind 48-18 at halftime and suffered a 90-64 NJCAA Region 3 Division II men's basketball loss to the Niagara County Thunderwolves on Tuesday night.

JCC held a lead only once and the game was tied only three times as NCCC dominated.

Most of the domination was in the paint where the hosts outscored the Jayhawks, 42-14. That led to the Thunderwolves shooting 61 percent from the field while JCC shot only 31 percent.

Ethan Baker led NCCC with 23 points, including seven 3-pointers. Kushan Hunter and Jacob Hughes had 12 points each while Jordan Street had 11 and Victor Verdecia 10.

JCC was led by Michael Forrest with 17 points while Tyreek Jewell and Kenny Stokes had 16 each.

The Jayhawks return to action on Thursday at 7 p.m. in a Region 3 Division II home game against JCC-Olean.
