Nominations for the Jamestown Area Bowling Hall of Fame are now being accepted, according to the Jamestown Area USBC Hall of Fame committee.
Names of individuals, along with a detailed list of qualifications and accomplishments, must be submitted on forms that are now available at all local bowling centers. The forms may be duplicated so that teams and leagues may nominate more than one person. Nominees may be living or deceased.
The induction dinner and awards banquet will be held in October at a location and time to be named later.
Nominations must be submitted to the committee by no later than April 2 to be considered for induction.
To date, 84 individuals, 48 men and 36 women, have been honored with induction into the Hall since its creation in 1987. A plaque with each of their names is located at the Chautauqua Sports Hall of Fame at 15 W. 3rd St. in Jamestown.
