She was born May 8,
1921, in Sherman, N.Y., the
daughter of the late Ralph
and Cora McGann VanVolkenburg. Millie was a
member of the Flora Rebekahs in Sherman. She
was a life member of the
Stanley Hose Fire Auxiliary, and Mayville Home
Bureau, and the Mayville
Senior Citizens. She enjoyed crocheting, and playing bingo in earlier years,
and going on senior citizen
trips. She is survived by
her children: Sandra Paddleford, David (Kim) Wassink, and Jeffrey (Linda)
Wassink; grandchildren:
Tracy (John) Beach, Lori
(Steve) Davis, Frank (Josie)
Paddleford, Jesse (Leia)
Paddleford, Mark, Brian
and Christopher Wassink,
Heather (Walter) Kinne,
and Brandi Wassink Ziemer; step grandchildren:
Kristine Wynn, Ted and Jason Mastoris; 21 great-grandchildren, and two
great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents she
was preceded in death by
her husband, Ivan R. Wassink, Jan. 10, 2011, whom
she married Dec. 26, 1953;
three brothers, and three
sisters. A memorial service
will be held Saturday, Feb.
23, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the
First Baptist Church, Sherman, with the Rev. Paul
Sears officiating. Friends
will be received for one
hour prior to the service at
church. Memorials may be
