Christopher R. Smith was recently added to the Jamestown Area YMCA Metro board of directors.
Smith, CPA, CVA, MAC, is a principal of the Schaffner, Knight, Minnaugh & Company, P.C. in Jamestown. He has worked there since 2005 and was appointed as the firm's ninth principal in January 2012. Chris concentrates his practice in corporate and individual tax compliance and tax planning.
He earned a B.S. degree in accounting from SUNY Fredonia and his master's degree in accounting from Auburn University. He has over 15 years of experience in the accounting field and recently became a certified valuation analyst.

Smith is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
He resides in Frewsburg with his two children Sydney and Gavin.
