The Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers will meet at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19, in the Busti Fire Hall. Bylaw updates will be voted on. Charlotte Johnson, Norman Colvin, Peg Dowley and Ruby Harp will be the committee.
Forty members met recently for a soup and sandwich lunch. Theresa Perrin, president, opened the meeting. Ruby Harp led prayer and Evior Kellor, song. Correspondence was read and the treasurer's report, given by JoAnne Osborn, was accepted. New officers were installed. They are Connie Whitman, president; Cecile Wilson, vice president; Pennie Harvey, secretary; and Richard Anderson, treasurer. Trustees include Elba Lawson, Dorothy Nelson and Perrin.
Lawson, Jay Carlo and Doris Rendall became life members.
Yarn was donated for the knitters.
Brett Mucheck, town councilman, spoke on ''Senior Care,'' a new radio program he hosts from 3-4 p.m. each Saturday on 95.3 FM. Topics will include diet, alternative medicine and time planning.
Helen Johnson spoke on future trips. May 20 will be a trip to the wind farm and Hidden Valley Adventure. The cost is $67. The mystery trip is Aug. 5 and costs $68; Captain Bill's Seneca Lake Cruise and National Soaring Museum on Sept. 30 is $92 and the Rock and Roll hall of Fame, Pine Ridge Country Club and Lights at Wela Park on Dec. 2, $70.
