We want to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who was involved in making the benefit for our daughter, Sydney, on Saturday, January 19, a huge success. First, thank you to Dusten and The Post-Journal for writing such a wonderful article on our family to announce the benefit to the local community. Thank you to our friend and coworker Michelle Johnson and the Falconer FBLA for the idea to host the benefit, and for organizing everything. All your hard work was most appreciated and definitely paid off! To our friends, coworkers, and students at Falconer Central, a huge thank you for the donations, working, set up, clean up, and assisting with anything that was needed. Your help and support not only that day, but every day, over these last months has meant more to us than you will ever know.
A special thank you goes out to all the community businesses, organizations, groups and individuals who donated to the benefit. The amount of baskets, gift certificates, and raffle prizes that were collected was incredible. Thanks to the Junior Guilders, Disturbing the Peace, and Headbangers Ball for the wonderful entertainment, and the Frewsburg Fire Dept. for the discounted hall rental.
Also, thank you to David Bollman LSS and Morrison Management for the food preparation, Jim Roach and Falconer Printing for the donation of the flyers, and Randy Marsh and the Jamestown Jock Shop.
It was truly a wonderful day for Sydney and our family. Even though she was only able to stay at the benefit for a couple hours, while she was there she saw how many people were there to support her. It was genuinely overwhelming. Saying thank you just doesn't seem like enough. We are truly blessed to be living in such a caring, generous community.
