Chautauqua Lake Rowing will be holding an informational meeting for the high school team spring season at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the Jamestown Savings Bank Arena.
The meeting is a chance for new, potential rowers/oxswins to meet the coaches and learn more about the sport of rowing. The coaching staff will discuss the schedule, CLRA's creation and history and additional benefits of rowing. Returning rowers are also expected to attend and it will be an opportunity to meet new teammates, hear any policy changes and see the new schedule.
The CLRA high school team consists of members of various area high schools.
Rowing provides the opportunity for cross training, competition, travel, fun and potential college scholarships. One of CLRA's current senior varsity rowers has been awarded a scholarship to University of Buffalo, the first scholarship recipient in the organization's history.
