Cub Scout Pack 126 Wolf Den attended the children’s workshop at Home Depot in Lakewood. They built birdhouses with kits provide by Home Depot free of charge. Scouts got to use tools and paints under the supervision of their parents. The project counted towards an achievement needed for the scouts’ rank badge. It also counted as a conservation project towards the Cub Scout World Conservation Award.
Cub Scout Pack 126 Wolf Den from Mayville went to Jamestown Bowling Company in December to earn their bowling belt loop and pin. Coach Dave Gayton taught the scouts the rules and techniques for bowling. They were also taken behind the scenes to see how the lanes and pins work in the back. The outing ended with the scouts using what they learned to bowl a game.
Cub Scout Pack 126 from Mayville visited residents at Absolut Care in Westfield in December. The scouts accomplished their community service project by caroling in the hallways and doing Christmas crafts with the residents. The Webelos were in charge of handing out homemade treats provided by Absolut and Cub Scout leaders. The scouts spread holiday cheer while earning the Messengers of Peace Award.
