Arthur Charles Minchener,
91, of Charlotte, N.C., died

peacefully on Tuesday, Jan.
29, 2013, at 6:35 p.m. He
was preceded in death in
2007 by his wife, Elene L.
DiMaio Minchener, whom
he married Sept. 1, 1941.
He was born in Jamestown, N.Y., on Nov. 22,
1921. He was the son of
William H. Minchener of
Detroit, Mich., and Olive
Boehler Minchener of
Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.
He lived for 16 years in Palmetto, Fla., and previously
in Jamestown, N.Y.
Arthur retired from
MRC/TRW after 40 years
of employment but enjoyed
staying active and socializing, so he chose to work
at Pinkerton, Farmer's
Market Supermarket, and
Cash N Carry until 2004
when he retired permanently. Arthur was a member of
the Lakewood Rod and
Gun Club, Moose Lodge,
Knights of Columbus, and
Elks Club where he and his
wife enjoyed their favorite
pastime - dancing!
Arthur was also an avid
fisherman and sports
enthusiast. His family will
greatly miss his love and
sense of humor. He is survived by his two daughters:
Jacqueline Coan (Ronald)
of Matthews, N.C., and
Judy Denison of Lily Dale,
N.Y.; four sons, Jerry Minchener of Clearwater, Fla.,
Jeffrey Minchener of
Jamestown, N.Y., James
Minchener of Willard, N.C.,
and John Minchener of
Charlotte, N.C.; 14
grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister,
Charlotte, in 1925; his father, William, in 1950; his
mother, Olive, in 1963; his
brother George, in 1981;
and grandson, Adam Minchener, in 1984.
The family will receive
friends on Friday, Feb. 1,
from 2-4 p.m., 7-9 p.m. and
one hour prior to the
memorial service held on
Saturday, Feb. 2, at 3 p.m.
at Heritage Funeral Home
in Indian Trail, N.C.
