Heavy Snow May Return Thursday Afternoon

Fog, Wind Will Be Problems For Next Couple Of Days

The National Weather Service has issued a lake effect snow watch for Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties, which will be in effect Thursday afternoon through late Friday night. Snow accumulations of greater than 6 inches are expected in the most persistent bands. Visibility could be as poor as a quarter-mile at times.

A dense fog advisory continues to be in effect for Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties through midnight tonight while a wind advisory will go into effect tonight at 1 a.m. and continue through Thursday at 1 p.m.

Visibility could be as low as a half-mile at times due to the fog while the winds may damage trees and cause sporadic power outages.
