Raiders, SW/MG Battle To 2-2 Deadlock

The Jamestown Raiders and Southwestern/Maple Grove played to a 2-2 tie in Western New York Club Hockey League White Division game at the Jamestown Savings Bank Arena on Saturday night.

Jamestown jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a powerplay goal by Gib Stuart on a one-time slapshot from the point. Assists went to Collin Abbott and Bill Krywy.

Elizabeth Gerace knotted the score for SW/MG on a powerplay goal with seven minutes left in the first period on a pass from Andrew Farnham.

Eleven seconds into the second period, SW/MG took the lead on a goal by Thomas Gerace while his team had a two man advantage. Assists went to Ryan Schutte and Alexander Carlson.

Rick Hasselman of the Raiders tied the score with four minutes to go in the second period on a 2-on-1 break with Justin Andiraccio, who had an assist along with Collin Abbott.

Netminders for the game were Noah Weinstein for SW/MB and Tom Fales for Jamestown.
