Constance G. Nelson of Edgewater, Fla., and Freedom, N.Y., died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, in Hospice of Volusia-Flagler, Port Orange, Fla., at the age of 77.
She was born Aug. 12, 1935, in Martin's Ferry, Ohio, a daughter of the late George Wallace and Isabelle Leona Neal Taylor.
She worked at the Fancher Chair Factory in Falconer, and enjoyed crocheting, crafts, baking and her grandchildren. She had attended the Arcade Church of God.
She is survived by her husband, James M. Nelson Sr., whom she married Jan, 6, 1951, in Martin's Ferry, Ohio; children: Sherry (John) Locastro of Daytona, Fla., Linda Decker of West Seneca, James M. Jr. (LuAnn Hammond) Nelson of Freedom, Bradley (Sue Lipscomb) Nelson of Great Valley, Rickie (Sharon Staats) Nelson of Hamburg, Jeffrey Nelson of Freedom, Lori Severance of Pennsylvania, and Connie (Kenneth) Anderson of Jamestown; brothers: Mitchell Neal Zack of Ohio, and Jack Zack of Colorado; sisters: Beryl "Kitty" Wolfe of Pennsylvania, and Penny Raha of Ohio; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Brenda Lee, George, Danny, Diane and Thomas Taylor.
Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home Inc., 358 W. Main St., Arcade, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 am. Interment will be in Holland Cemetery.
