She was born April 7,
1925, in Warren, Pa., the
daughter of the late John
Nicholas Mostert and Mar-
garet Claire Carley.
Throughout her life
Dorothy worked at many
factories in the local area,
and she enjoyed her work
as a home health care aide.
She enjoyed crocheting,
her pets and gardening.
She is survived by her
son, William H. Chambers
III; her daughters: Julie
Chambers and Ann (Tom)
Smith, all of Sherman, N.Y.;
five grandchildren, eight
great-grandchildren,
several nieces and
nephews, two brothers:
Chuck Warner, of Erie, Pa.,
and Clair Carley, of
Wattsburg, Pa.; and her sis-
ter, June Mortimer, of West
Valley, N.Y.
Besides her parents she
was preceded in death by
her husband, William H.
Chambers Jr. on Aug. 12,
1988, whom she married
Nov. 27, 1949; three sons
John, Richard and Edward
Chambers; and a sister, Ber-
tha Thorpe.
The funeral service will
be held at 1 p.m., Wednes-
day, Jan. 16, at the Spitzer
Funeral Home, Sherman,
N.Y. with the Rev. Paul
Sears, pastor of the Sher-
man First Baptist Church,
officiating. Burial will be
in Mina Cemetery.
Friends will be received
from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at
the funeral home, and also
for one hour prior to the
service on Wednesday.
