Weilia Zhou and Mark Charles Rice exchanged wedding vows on July 14, 2012, at Ss. Peter & Paul Church. The Rev. Dennis Mende was celebrant. Music was provided by Kathleen Healy, soloist and Donna Gatz, organist. Readings were provided by Fan Luo and Amy Marie D'Orazio, cousin of the groom.
The bride is the daughter of Min Zhou and Ziding Wei of Changsha, Hunan Province, P.R. China. Her husband is the son of Anna Marie and Charles Rice of Lakewood, N.Y.
Qi Tao was matron of honor. Bridesmaid was Linghui Wu.
Best man was Aditya Didolkar. Groomsman was Jacob Tepper. Ushers were Brian Jones and Christian Rice, cousins of the groom.
The bride earned a bachelors degree from Dongbei University of Economics and Finance and a Master of Science degree in applied mathematics and statistics from the State College at Stony Brook. She is employed as an account manager at Inprocess Inc. in Islandia, N.Y. Her husband is a 2003 graduate of Southwestern Central School, a magna cum laude graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Cornell University and is a doctorial candidate in history at the State College at Stony Brook. He is employed as a graduate assistant at the State College at Stony Brook and an adjunct professor of history at Adelphi University, Garden City, N.Y.
They honeymooned in Ireland.
They are living in Stony Brook, N.Y.
