College Goal New York, a program that helps students from first generation and low-income families complete their electronic Free Application for Federal Student Aid, will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Feb. 9, at Falconer Central School.
The event is a service project of the New York State Financial Aid Administrators Association and the New York State Higher Education Services Corporation.
Area students are encouraged to sign up for the event by visiting collegegoalny.org or by contacting their high school guidance office. Students should plan to bring at least one parent or guardian, 2012 W2s, completed federal tax returns, and other important financial documents with them to College Goal New York.
College financial aid professionals, high school guidance officers, and a tax preparer will be available.
