FREWSBURG - The Frewsburg Bears (4-6, 1-3) jumped out to a 19-10 lead after the first quarter and never looked back in a 55-36 Division 2 boys basketball win over the Cassadaga Valley Cougars (5-4, 1-3) on Monday night.
''We played well,'' was the way Frewsburg coach Tom Nelson summed up the win. ''We played good defense and we shot well tonight (21 of 46 from the field). Good shooting and good defense.''
Josh Nelson led the Bears with 14 points, six rebounds and four assists. Alex Elderkin added 12 points and 12 rebounds.
