ROCHESTER - The Jamestown indoor track teams competed at the Tiger Invitational at RIT on Saturday, earning many personal-best performances and breaking two school records in the process.
The meet, which combines some of the best talent from Sections 5 and 6, is a highlight of the season, as it is one of the few 200-Meter Tracks on which the athletes get to run all season.
The 3,200-meter relay team of Michael Capestrani, Jordan Johnson, Jonathan Healy and Patrick Walsh ran an 8:50.11 to break the old record of 8:56.84 set by Jacob Martin, Drew Poppleton, Jack Lee and Bobby Spitale in 2000, earning them a second-place finish.

Cienna Simon also broke a school record from 2000 with a winning time of 8.55 seconds in the 55-meter hurdles to beat Tirana McDermott's mark of 8.64.
Teammate Summer Haight also scored in the meet by taking sixth in 9.55.
Mitchell Moore (8.43) and Steven Nowell (8.71) also had success in the boys 55 hurdles, taking third and sixth place, respectively.
Kylie Wilson ran a 7.53 in the 55 dash and a 43.96 in the 300, taking third and sixth and qualifying for sectionals in both events.
Boys teammates Michael Watson and Justin Capuano also qualified for sectionals in the 300.
Olivia Zabrodsky showed her staying power in the 1,500, taking third in 5:12.47.
The boys 1,600 relay team of Da'Quan Hollings-worth, Michael Watson, Justin Capuano and Mitchell Moore ran 3:43.94 to take third out of the slow heat.
Steven Nowell took sixth place in the long jump 18-feet-7 while leaping a personal best of 5-10to take second in the high jump.
Anna Torres took second in the long jump (15-7) while winning the triple jump in 32-6.
Brielle Edborg took second in the high jump with a height of 4-10.
Mikayla Capestrani and Awsten Beaver each took fifth in the girls and boys pole vault while Joe Mistretta took fourth in the shot put with a personal-best and sectional-qualifying) throw of 42-5.
Patty Keller took fifth in the shot with a toss of 28-4.
