Jamestown broke its four-game hockey losing streak as it defeated Olean in a battle for the White Division lead of the Western New York Club League at the Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena on Friday night.
After Dave Skiener scored for Olean, the Raiders rallied to score six unanswered goals for a 6-1 win and a 7-2 record in the division.
Justin Andriaccio tied it at 1-1 on assists by Collin Abbott and Jake Andriaccio with three minutes left in the first period.
Bryce Raymond gave the Raiders the lead at 2-1 on assists from Mitch Dorunda and Gib Stuart and Abbott made it 3-1 from Rick Hasselman and Bill Krywy with 18 seconds showing in the first stanza.
The Raiders scored twice in the second period on goals by Dorunda from Raymond and Krywy from Dylan Bergman for a 5-1 edge.
Abbott got the final goal in the last period when he was hauled down during a breakaway. He was awarded a penalty shot and connected for the Raiders.
Tom Fales was in net for Jamestown, which holds a one-point lead over City Honors and a two-point lead over Olean.
Prior to snapping the losing streak, the skein reached four as Cleveland Hill/JFK won a 7-4 decision over Jamestown.
Jamestown could never recover when CH/JFK scored three goals in less than a minute in the first period.
The Raiders got their first goal in the second as Hasselman scored off a face-off from Justin Andriaccio. That was matched by the winners, who took a 4-1 lead into the final stanza.
Justin Andriaccio, Jake Andriaccio and Krywy tallied in the third for Jamestown but could never get closer than two goals.
Bergman, Stuart, Krywy and Mike Mammoser had assists while Fales was in the net for Jamestown, which outshot CH/JFK, 33-17.
