Barbara Jean Derby, 73, of 413 W. Eighth St., formerly of the Hotel Jamestown, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, in WCA Hospital.
She was born Feb. 7, 1939, in Watts Flats the daughter of the late Elvin Morris and Marjorie Ross Derby.
In earlier years, she worked at the Holiday Inn. Barbara was a member of Victory Tabernacle, and she enjoyed Bingo, reading, crocheting and karaoke.

Surviving are four sons: Shane (Terri) Pangborn, Gordon (Susan) Pangborn, Darrin Pangborn and Ronald Kitchell; three daughters: Debra (Robert) Hunt, Kimberly (Arthur) Harrington and Marjorie Kitchell, all of Jamestown; 23 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and two brothers: Charles Derby of Lakewood and Merlin Derby of Jamestown.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Katherine Alexander and Nancy Westerlund; and two brothers: Richard and Neil Derby.
The funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tues-day in the Lind Funeral Home. Brian Derby will officiate.
Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Watts Flats.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
