Scott E. McChesney, 22, of Panama was charged with third-degree burglary, trespass and two counts of petit larceny. Deputies on Nov. 16 were notified of a petit larceny at 961 Swede Road in Panama. After an investigation, a warrant was issued for McChesney on Dec. 12. McChesney was already in the Chautauqua County Jail on separate charges. The warrant was filed as a detainer and McChesney will answer the charges later.
A 17-year-old Brocton male was charged with criminal possession of stolen property. The subject was arrested following an investigation into a car larceny on Webster Road in Fredonia on Dec. 19. Police report the youth was found in possession of a set of keys stolen from the vehicle. He was issued an appearance ticket and will be in Pomfret Town Court later.
