Senior Center Members To Meet
Jamestown Area Senior Center members will meet for coffee and treats on Jan. 22. Membership dues for 2013 must be paid at this meeting. The cost is $10. The seniors met recently for a tureen dinner attended by 38 members. Shirley Vandenburg, director, opened the meeting with a flag salute and song. She also reminded seniors that if Jamestown Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather, the senior center will also be closed. Birthdays were observed. Discussion was on the approval of the budget and bowling.
Jamestown AARP To Hold Meetings
Jamestown AARP Board will meet Thursday at 10 a.m. in the parlors of First Lutheran Church. The general meeting at the same location, starting at 1:30 p.m., with installation of officers, payment of 2013 dues of $6 per person, a business meeting, and refreshments, will be held Tuesday, Jan. 8.
