Christmas Choir To Perform

The choir of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, under the direction of Andrew Schmidt, will celebrate the season of Christmas with the annual festival of Lessons and Carols on Sunday at 10 a.m. The festival tells the story of the fall of humanity, the promise of the Messiah, and the birth of Jesus through a series of Bible readings interspersed with the singing of Christmas carols and choir music. The service is modeled after the renowned service of Lessons and Carols held annually at King's College in England. Immediately following the festival will be a celebration of Holy Eucharist in which all baptized Christians, regardless of church affiliation, will be invited to receive Communion. St. Luke's Church is located at the corner of Fourth and Main streets in downtown Jamestown. For additional information call the church office at 483-6405.
