What is the matter with this country and our leaders? We are the richest country in the free world and we have numerous lotteries that can give winners over $500 million, yet we still have crazy people walk into a school and murder children and administrators. We have terrorists get pilot licenses in our own training centers and then they fly planes loaded with passengers into our buildings.
Why haven't we put armed guards with metal detectors in all of our schools at the only door to enter that school? Why haven't we made all the airlines put security doors on the pilot's cockpit so that terrorists can't enter them?
It was my understanding that the lotteries were to help education, but maybe I am wrong. Politicians spend millions on their campaigns to get elected, but I've never heard one of them address these issues - that's the one I would vote for.
The time for action is overdue. Wake up, America, and protect our children. It might even help by putting people to work. I for one would be glad to sit in a school as a guard.
