BEMUS POINT - The Thule Lodge, 4123 Pancake Hill Road, Bemus Point, recently held its annual Swedish Christmas festival, known as the Dopp I Gryta.

The phrase means the dipping of the bread. There are different kinds of bread available for dipping in a sauce, along with ham, korv, Swedish meatballs, scalloped potatoes, cheese, pickled beets, pickled herring, cucumbers and many kinds of cookies.

The Thule Lodge preserves the Swedish heritage through events and activities. New members are always welcome.
