To Hold Meeting
CHEEKTOWAGA - The Lupus Alliance of Upstate New York will hold a new patient orientation meeting from 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, in the Lupus Alliance office, 3871 Harlem Road, Cheektowaga. The meeting is open to all newly diagnosed lupus patients, their families and friends. Current literature will be available, a video will be shown, and a question and answer period will follow. There is no charge to attend, but reservations are required; call the Lupus Alliance at 835-7161.
Westfield Seniors To Meet Jan. 10
Westfield Senior Citizens will meet for a potluck lunch at noon on Jan. 10 in the YWCA. Pat Everts, Pat Smith, Sally Merwin and Ann Cochran, the kitchen committee, will provide desserts. Members attending should take a dish to pass and their table service. Pat Cook will provide a musical program. Twenty-seven members attended a recent potluck meal. Shirley Kolpien, president, opened the meeting and read devotions. Celebrating birthdays were Darla Augur, Sally Merwin, Betty Wilson, Erma Lloyd, Ralph Wakeley, Dick Lancaster, Marybelle Beigh, Newell Near and Chris Vestrand. Dan and Gladys Hess observed their wedding anniversary. Fran Anderson, past president, installed new officers. They are Ms. Kolpien, president; Geri Harper, vice president; Sylvia Colbey, secretary; and Dolores Kaufman, treasurer. A gift exchange followed the meeting.
