BROCTON - Ismael Ortiz, 43, of 5772 Ellicott Road, Lot 11, Brocton, has been charged with three counts of first-degree sexual abuse and one count of endangering the welfare of a child on Friday.
According to a police report, in mid-November the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Department received a report of alleged sexual abuse of a 9-year-old girl in Portland. An investigation involving Chautauqua County CPS, the county District Attorney's office and the Child Advocacy Program began. A warrant was issued by Portland Town Court and served Friday.
Ortiz was arraigned in Portland Town Court and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $30,000 cash bail or $60,000 property bond.
