Ruth Torbjornsen, 86, formerly of Memory Garden, 560 Fairmount Ave. W.E., passed away at 4:30 a.m. Thursday (Dec. 20, 2012), in the Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility.
She was born May 19, 1926, in Erwin, Tenn., a daughter of the late James A. and Atlass Phillips Jones.
Surviving is a son Thomas M. (Phyllis) Torbjornsen of Jamestown; three sisters: Louise, Hope and Esther; as well as a brother, Fred.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Torbjornsen.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed.
