SHERMAN - Ryan Robson was the Man of the Hour for Sherman (2-0, 4-1) in Division 4 boys basketball Thursday night.
Robson sank a 3-pointer to break a 45-45 deadlock with Brocton (1-1, 4-1) with about a minute left to give the Wildcats a 49-45 victory.
After Robson scored, Brocton missed a shot and fouled Devin Moorhead, who made a free throw with nine seconds left to sew up the win.
Robson scored 16 of his 17 points in the second half after Andrew Graham had 15 of his 19 points in the first half for Sherman.
The Wildcats had a 14-6 advantage in the final quarter as they made 7 of 11 free throws and Brocton hit only 2 of 12. Sherman finished with 12 of 23 and Brocton was 6 of 21.
Brocton led at halftime, 22-18, then extended that to eight points with the first two buckets of the second half before Sherman battled back with a surge in the final chapter.
Graham also had four steals and three assists while Moorhead added four assists in the win. Jake Card and Nathan Ottaway hauled in seven rebounds as Sherman held a slight advantage, 31-30.
Dan Ferguson led Brocton with 17 points, eight rebounds and five steals while teammate Anthony Riforgiato connected for 13 points.

CLYMER STILL UNBEATEN
CLYMER - The Clymer Pirates had no trouble in raising their record 5-0 overall and 1-0 in the league with a 56-28 verdict over West Valley (0-3, 0-5).
The Pirates took charge in the second and third quarters with a 39-8 edge, including a 19-0 third quarter.
Dan Lictus scored 15 of his 17 points in those two quarters, grabbed seven rebounds and rejected five shots for the Pirates.
Jake Wiggers contributed 11 points while Mitch Einink led with nine rebounds and three assists and Garrett McAfoose had three steals in the win.
Dylan Myers was among the three players to score for WV and he wound up with 14 points and six steals.
