Some big contributions from a few new faces lifted Southwestern past Allegany-Limestone, 50-40, in a Division 1 boys basketball game on Thursday night.
In addition to Kyle Radack, who poured in 16 points to go along with five assists and five steals, Kyle Moran netted six points and hauled in seven rebounds, post player Pete Trathen did work in the paint - but also hit a triple - on his way to eight points and Nathan Schrope tallied four points in the win.
The Trojans, now 3-3 overall and 2-1 in league, won every quarter, building its lead from one point, 6-5, after the opening period to five, 33-28, by the end of the third.

"We were very steady," Southwestern coach Andrew Krenzer said. "This was one of the better games we've played this season, and (Trathen, Schrope and Moran) stepped up to give us a boost."
Fellow Trojan Alek Peck, who was coming off a 32-point performance against Dunkirk, had 12 points.
For Allegany-Limestone (2-3, 1-1), Dominic Saglimben and Ryan Vossler each had 11 points.

OLEAN ROLLS
FALCONER - Olean jumped out a 32-5 lead after the first quarter and rolled to a 98-55 win over Falconer.
The Huskies, the third-ranked team in the state in Class B, led 57-22 at halftime.
Sam Eckstrom led Olean with 20 points and also pulled down seven rebounds. Max Portlow had 18 points and Wil Bathhurst 11. Luke Hennessy picked up nine assists.
Mike Wilcox had 21 point for the Golden Falcons and Nick Conti added 14.
