The Post-Journal

Patricia Jane Monroe, 76, formerly of 303 W. Fifth St., Jamestown, passed away quietly in her sleep at 8:23 p.m. Monday (Dec. 17, 2012), in the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center.

A lifelong area resident, she was born Feb. 7, 1936, in Jamestown, N.Y., a daughter of the late Earl L. Robertson and the late Bar-bara L. Clayton Robertson Duanne.

She had been employed as a cook for the former Hall Memorial Home for several years.

She was a past member and officer of the Jamestown Women of the Moose, a member of the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club Auxiliary and the Herman Kent Post 777 American Legion Auxiliary.

She will be remembered as one who enjoyed cooking, knitting, smoking, slot machines, playing cards with family and just having a good time while giving everyone else a hard time.

Surviving are her three children: Tricia (Thomas) McCanna of Charlotte, N.C., William Hosack Jr. of Jamestown, and Holly (Eric) Golla of Springfield, Va.; her grandchildren: Joshua, Marissa, Nicholas and Patty McCanna, all of Charlotte, Jacob Reno of Russell, Pa., Isabel and Jason Golla, both of Springfield; and her two sisters: Barbara Oakes of Wilming-ton, Del., and June (John) Federko of Jamestown.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Clayton Robertson.

At this time there will be no funeral service or visitation. A memorial service will be held in July 2013 on Chautauqua Lake.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials in Patricia's name be made to Lutheran Social Services Foundation of Upstate New York Inc., 715 Falconer St., James-town, NY 14701. You may light a candle in remembrance of Patricia at www.lindfuneralhome.
