Panama earned its first-ever victory over host Southwestern on Tuesday in boys swimming, topping the Trojans, 98-81, despite the fact that the Trojans had three double winners.
"It was a great win for Panama and the swim program," said Panama coach Todd Conklin. "We have been working hard and the boys deserve all the credit. We're swimming well, but I'm so excited for what the rest of the year has to offer. The boys are just starting to understand how good they are."
Southwestern's Jordan Powers was a double winner, claiming first in the 200 freestyle (151.83) and the 500 freestyle (5:06.72), Jake Cotter doubled in the 50 freestyle (24.29) and the 100 freestyle (54.61) and Harry Troche won both the 200 individual medley (2:29.89) and the 100 backstroke
