Pastor To Speak On?Senior Report
MAYVILLE - Senior Report with Reed Powers will have the Rev. Charles Wheeler as the guest on Saturday's program. Wheeler is the associate pastor at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Westfield. The live, call-in program airs from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday. Individuals may call 753-5225 during that time with questions or comments. The program is rebroadcast each day at 2 and 8 p.m. for some communities. Senior Report is shown live Saturday mornings on Time Warner cable systems covering the following communities: Brocton, Cassadaga, Chautauqua, Fredonia, Mayville, North Harmony, Portland, Ripley, Sherman, Stockton and Westfield on Channel 5. In Dunkirk, Forestville, Hanover, Irving and Silver Creek the program is on channel 19. The show originates at the Access Channel 5 studio in Mayville.
City?Church To Host 'Greatest Gift'
The Sunday school at the Emmanuel Temple, 1015 N. Main St., will perform ''The Greatest Gift'' at 6 p.m. Saturday. Featured will be Derrick Coleman, Peyton Butts and Donna Smith, soloist. There is no charge and the event is open to the public.
Legion?To Host Christmas Party
LAKEWOOD - The Lakewood Legion Auxiliary Post 1286 is holding a children's Christmas party on Saturday, Dec. 22, from 1-3 p.m. There will be snacks, games, crafts and a special appearance from Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus. Library To Show 'Polar Express'
FREWSBURG - The Myers Memorial Library will show its free monthly movie at 3 and 6 p.m. Wednesday. The movie will be Polar Express, a G-rated film. The showing is sponsored by the Frewsburg Pharmacy.
Hiking Club Slates Dec. 30 Event
The Chautauqua County Hiking Club will hike at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, meeting at the Great Tree Inn, 6642 E. Lake Road, Route 430, Mayville. The group will follow the trail north from Route 430 for about an hour and then return. If there is snow, hikers should bring their snowshoes or cross-country skis. The trail is appropriate for beginners. Those hiking should bring water. After the hike there will be hot cocoa and cookies at the Great Tree Inn. To make a reservation, call Eileen Campbell, coordinator, at 548-3417. The Chautauqua County Hiking Club was formed 1974 by the late Herb Hern. It is an informal group of people who enjoy the outdoors. All hikes are led by volunteer hike coordinators and are open to anyone who wants to participate. Details and times for all of the club outings will be displayed as they become available on Facebook.

Christ First Single Group members will wrap Christmas presents beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, in the Christ First United Methodist Church atrium, 663 Lakeview Ave., Jamestown.
