To the Readers' Forum:
I would like to thank the Patriot Guard for standing by our veterans that served for our country. These are men and women who take the time to ride their motorcycles in all kinds of weather to bring our veterans, young and old, to their final resting place.
They recently stood outside a local funeral home for three hours in the cold and rode their motorcycles to the cemetery in a wonderful display of respect for one of their own and also a dear friend of ours, Kenyon Butler.
They were there for his widow and her family. The phone calls, the concern and all the support these men and women gave was greatly appreciated by all.
I don't know their names, but they should be proud of who they are and what they stand for.
In this world that we live in where people usually think of themselves and not others, it is good to know that there are men and women like them still around.
You are all shining stars.
Thank you again.
