Nancy's first love was her family and friends, and she made many close friends during her time working as a waitress at Davidson's Restaurant in Lakewood, N.Y., and Mickey's Diner in Yorkshire, N.Y. She also spent many happy years working at the village office in Arcade N.Y., and retired from the Pioneer Central School District in 1995. Nancy and Ralph liked camping and visiting relatives and friends.

Nancy enjoyed getting family and friends together for delicious meals. All will miss her family dinners where everybody was welcome and food was abundant. She was a member of the Camp Street United Methodist Church while living in Jamestown and together with her husband active members of the Arcade United Methodist Church following their move to Arcade. Nancy was always fun loving and put others first.

She will be greatly missed by her husband, Ralph Johnson; her three children: Laurie (Ken) Guenther of Honeoye Falls, N.Y., Wayne (Xin) Johnson of Phoenix, Ariz., and Sally (John) Fitzgerald of Buffalo. Nancy holds a very special place in the hearts of her six grandchildren: Jill (Adam) Keller, Christina, Brian, and Matthew Guenther, and Patrick and Madeline Fitzgerald, as well as great-grandson Mason Keller. She will be remembered as a very special lady by her extended relatives and many friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Lund; two sisters: Audrey Burch and Lois Swanstrom; her in-laws Gunnard and Marie Johnson; and several other family members.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, in the Lind Funeral Home. Pastor Kevin Costner, pastor of Camp Street United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Allen Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service, from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.

A memorial service will be held at Camp Street United Methodist Church on a date to be announced in January by Lind's.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to The Hospice Foundation of WNY, 225 Como Park Blvd., Buffalo, NY 14227; or to the Alzheimer's Association of WNY, 2805 Wehrle Drive, Suite 6, Buffalo, NY 14221.
