JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT Lamar M. Spencer, 29, of Jamestown was charged Thursday with second-degree obstructing governmental administration and trespassing. Spencer also had two valid Jamestown City Court bench warrants. At 4:50 p.m., police tried to perform a street check of Spencer for two valid Jamestown warrants. An officer told Spencer to stop walking and come to the officer’s car. Spencer then ran away from the officer, running into an apartment at 503 E. Fifth St. Officers found Spencer and took him to the Jamestown City Jail without further incident. Alexander I. Lopus of Jamestown was charged with criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance at 3:56 p.m. Saturday after he was pulled over on West Third Street near Jefferson Street. Lopus also had a valid arrest warrant from Jamestown City Court. According to a police report, Lopus was riding in a vehicle that had been pulled over. Officers then learned he had a valid bench warrant. During a pat down by officers, Lopus had a hypodermic needle possibly containing drugs. He was taken to the Jamestown City Jail until he can be arraigned. James R. Brown, 33, of Jamestown was charged with disorderly conduct at 2:10 a.m. Saturday on West Second and Cherry streets. Officers were trying to separate two people before they could start fighting when Brown began to taunt one of the men. Brown was charged, but refused to put his arms behind his back and pulled away from officers. He was eventually taken to the Jamestown City Jail, where he was again uncooperative with officers. He was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and second-degree obstructing governmental administration and is awaiting arraignment. LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE Adam W. Haim, 33, of Falconer was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana at 6”45 p.m. Friday in Lakewood. He will be in Busti Town Court later. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT Amanda St. George, 25, of Route 60, Pomfret, was charged Dec. 8 for driving while intoxicated — common law, DWI per se for having a .08 or higher blood-alcohol content and speeding. At 11:53 p.m. Dec. 8, deputies report seeing a vehicle speeding on Route 60 in Pomfret. St. George was found to be driving. She will be in court later. Kenneth G. Moore Jr., 36, and Sherry Moore, 34, both of Kimball Drive, Jamestown, were charged with third-degree criminal possession of marijuana and unlawful growing of marijuana.
