RANDOLPH - Three-pointers were the difference as Randolph outlasted Salamanca in a double-overtime game in a Division 2 basketball opener for both teams on Thursday night.

The Cardinals tossed in 13 3-pointers in 40 attempts compared to Salamanca's four. Maycock was the leader with five.

Salamanca had a shot that wasn't close in the waning seconds in the second overtime.

In the first overtime, Randolph stormed from behind with nine seconds left to gain a 67-67 tie. Miller made a steal and after Salamanca missed a pair of free throws, it was Nate Beaver making a running shot from about six feet to tie the game at the buzzer.
