LeRoy Fehlman

LeRoy Fehlman, 78, of Jamestown passed away Thursday (Dec. 13, 2012), in Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center.

He was born July 10, 1934, in Erie, Pa., the son of the late Milton and Leona Moore Fehlman.

LeRoy served in the U.S. Army Reserves, and prior to retirement was employed by MRC-SKF for 48 years and by The Post-Journal.

He was a member of several local Moose clubs, and enjoyed watching NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon. In earlier years LeRoy had owned a race car which his son raced at Stateline Speedway. LeRoy also enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time at his camp in Pennsylvania.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley Cornell Fehlman; six children: Mary Ann Brightman of Celoron, Donna (Earl) Wilcox of Youngsville, Pa., Helen M. Lewis of Jamestown, Carol (John) Bruyer of Sinclairville, Terry (Brenda) Fehlman of Gerry, and Jane (Bud) Brightman of Jamestown; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two sisters: Francis Mount and Henrietta Ploss.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Milton Fehlman; and two sisters: Jacklyn Kahle and Dorothy Sasso.

The funeral will be at 7 p.m. Monday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.

Friends will be received by the family from 5-7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
