December 14, 2012
The Post-Journal

The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office said Thursday it is seeking the public's assistance for two recent break-ins at a Dewittville convenience store.

The Arrow Mart gas and convenience store on Wednesday was burglarized, with cigarettes, smokeless tobacco, lighters and cigars stolen. A break-in also was reported on Nov. 24.

The Sheriff's Office is looking for anyone with knowledge of the burglaries. Those with information can call 753-4925 or 753-4907. A WeTip reward also is being offered for information that may result in an arrest.

WeTip is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to taking anonymous tips from anywhere in the country 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. WeTip allows citizens from all over the nation to anonymously call crime information into one central headquarters, which is manned by live operators.

The program will immediately link information regarding a crime to local law enforcement agencies where the crime occurred. WeTip offers rewards up to $1,000 when the anonymous tip leads to an arrest and conviction.

Anyone wishing to call WeTip regarding the Arrow Mart burglaries is asked to call 800-782-7463.
