Panama Alters Recycling Program
PANAMA - The village of Panama has started a zero-sort recycling program. All recyclables can be put together in one container and will be picked up with the regular garbage every other week.
Praise Choir To Perform Saturday
The Community Praise Choir will perform ''O Holy Night,'' at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Busti Church of God and also the Fluvanna Community Church, followed by a cookie fellowship. This special cantata features 60 members from the Busti Church of God, First Church of God, Fluvanna Community Church, Lakeview Bible Chapel, and Martin Road Christian Fellowship.
Fire Auxiliary To Host Dinner
BUSTI - The Busti Fire Department Auxiliary Christmas dinner and party will be on Tuesday at 6 p.m. Please bring a dish to pass for the dinner, non-perishable food items for a donation basket and a $10 gift to exchange. The meeting will follow with election of officers for 2013. All members are asked to please attend.
Library To Host Bedtime Stories
ELLINGTON - The Farman Free Library in Ellington will host Bedtime Stories for the Very Young at 6 p.m. Wednesday. The program's theme is "A Christmas Party" and will feature a very easy craft, stories, songs, finger plays and a small, child friendly snack. Children through first grade are welcome to attend. Each child must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program. Parents should bring sippy cups or bottles as needed. Reservations are not required but are appreciated. To make a reservation or for more information, call Lynn or Kathy at 287-2945. The Farman Free Library is located at 760 Thornton Road, Ellington, in the former Lock Stock and Barrel Building.
