SILVER CREEK - Shawna Raymond and the Frewsburg Bears made the outcome known early in their Division 2 girls basketball game with Silver Creek.
"We caught fire in the second quarter," Frewsburg coach Jeff Collver said.
And Raymond was the catalyst.

The senior, who finished with a game-high 27 points to go along with nine steals and seven rebounds, poured in 13 of her 18 first-half points in the second period, helping the Bears expand what had been a nine-point lead into a 29-point advantage on the way to the 62-39 victory.
Along with the scoring of Raymond and teammate Reyanne Strong, who netted 20 points (including 12 in the first half) with four assists, Frewsburg's press held the Lady Black Knights (2-3, 0-1), and more importantly, 6-foot-2 post player Jordan Brooks, to single-digit points in each of the first three periods.
Brooks, who enjoyed more room to work in the final quarter when the press was called off, scored 22 points and hauled in 14 rebounds while Jade Lewis dished eight assists and made four steals.
Frewsburg, now 3-0 overall and 1-0 in league play, is back in action on Friday against Cardinal O'Hara in the opening game of the United Way Tournament at Jamestown High School.
