Ruth Virginia Robb, age 87, of Salem, Ohio, died Monday night, Dec. 10, 2012, at the Salem Community Hospital.
She was born Feb. 11, 1925, in New Castle, Pa., the daughter of the late Os-car and Florence (McCoy) Swanson.
Mrs. Robb graduated from New Castle High School and then graduated from Practical Bible Training School June 3, 1947, in Johnstown City, N.Y.

She was a homemaker and pastor's wife. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school and Children's Church. She was a member of the Cross & Crown Ladies Ministry and enjoyed baking and sewing.
Her husband, the Rev. Fred W. Robb, whom she married Aug. 27, 1948, preceded her in death Aug. 1, 2009. Two sisters, Beatrice Seaton and Margaret Mos-trando, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include seven daughters: Marcia (Lyle) Salzman of Eastanollee, Ga., Luann (David) Nicholas of Xenia, Ohio, Dawna (Tom) Henslin of Dodge Center, Minn., Gayle (Kim) Cole of Sherman, N.Y., Sherrie (Arthur) Tanner of Sherman, N.Y., Lori (Gerald) Skiba of Salem and Lynette (Chuck) Brown of Stow, Ohio; a sister, Dorothy (Gabriel) Giotis of Wayne, N.J.; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at the Calvary Baptist Church in Salem with Pastor Jonathan Burns, Pastor Douglas DeMar and Pastor Roger Dulaney. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. at the church. Burial will be at Castle View Memorial Gardens in New Castle, Pa.
Arrangements were handled by the Stark Memorial Funeral Home in Salem, Ohio.
