Jon R. Paulson

Jon R. Paulson, 54, of Jamestown, N.Y., passed away at 7:34 p.m. Saturday (Dec. 8, 2012), at 3847 Pine St., Greenhurst, N.Y., following a brief battle with cancer, and surrounded by his family.

A lifelong area resident, he was born July 24, 1958, in Jamestown, N.Y., a son of the late Donald W. and Audrey Johnson Paulson.

Jon was a graduate of Maple Grove High School.

For the past several years he was a self-employed car-penter in the Jamestown area. He had previously worked for the Jamestown Housing Authority and Mayshark Builders.

He was a former member of the War Vets Recreation Club and the American Le-gion.

He will be remembered as a loving and caring person who was known as a free spirit. He loved spending time on the lake fishing and truly loved Harley Davidson motorcycles.

Surviving are his wife, Katherine Paulson of Greenhurst; two sons: Christopher M. (Jamie) Paulson of West Seneca, N.Y., and Donald R. Paulson of Greenhurst; and a sister, Priscilla M. (Mark) Anderson of Westfield.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald W. Paulson Jr.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Daniel G. McBride, pastor of the Bemus Point United Methodist Church, will officiate.

Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service on Thursday in the funeral home.
